Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Project Specialist to join our team at Cooperative Systems. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of various technology projects while collaborating closely with project managers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project management and engineering teams in executing project directives.
  • Set up and configure workstations, laptops, networking devices, servers, storage solutions, and other essential peripherals.
  • Evaluate client requirements and devise tailored solutions that align with Cooperative Systems' technology standards.
  • Regularly work on-site at various locations, with occasional visits to clients in neighboring states.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings for project updates and equipment preparation.
  • Engage in project tasks such as desktop imaging, deployment, and installation of server and network equipment.
  • Oversee and implement straightforward projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide recommendations on hardware and software to fulfill client needs.
  • Estimate labor requirements for projects accurately.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Support onboarding initiatives for new clients or services.
  • Facilitate effective knowledge transfer to the technical team for ongoing support.
Additional Duties
  • Act as a point of escalation for technical issues when necessary.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including logging work hours and maintaining documentation.
  • Maintain open communication with clients regarding project status and updates.
  • Create and update documentation of technical processes for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize independent judgment in daily tasks to benefit the company.
  • Complete assigned training and certifications to enhance personal and company goals.
  • Contribute ideas for new products or services to enhance client offerings.
  • Provide after-hours support for customer projects as needed.
  • Adhere to company Service Level Agreements consistently.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Fundamental understanding of network and server environments, including operating systems, virtualization, email platforms, cloud services, and security.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Office 365 applications, with prior migration experience being advantageous.
  • Expertise in workstation deployment and imaging processes.
  • Possession of professional IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, CompTia A+, Network+, or Security+ is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of network topologies and principles.
  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the IT sector, with managed services or consulting experience being a plus.
