Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex engineering solutions, conducting tests and experiments, and analyzing results to improve performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop designs for equipment without critical performance requirements, such as engine parts, research instruments, or special purpose circuitry.
  • Analyze technical data to determine applicability to design problems and select from several possible design layouts.
  • Calculate design data, prepare layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, and conduct tests using various instruments.
  • Evaluate test results, prepare reports on findings and recommendations, and determine test requirements, equipment modification, and test procedures.
  • Plan and conduct complete projects of limited scope or portions of larger projects, select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, and review, analyze, and integrate the technical work of others.
Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience with a degree or formal training, or 10 years of experience with a high school diploma or GED, including design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
  • Notable experience performing duties such as designing, developing, and constructing major units, devices, or equipment, conducting tests or experiments, analyzing results, and redesigning or modifying equipment to improve performance.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience with TACNET or other Navy C4I systems.
  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science, or formal electronics training from a technical school, Class A or B military school, or a 4-year electronics apprentice program.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
