Job Title: Reliability, Maintenance

The RMS Engineer is a technical expert who provides leadership in an engineering discipline, product, or systems field. This role involves researching and carrying out complex engineering assignments that result in the introduction of new technologies, products, or processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations to assess and optimize designs for system safety compliance
  • Provide actuation subsystem safety assessment for CFR Part 25 program certification
  • Develop reliability and safety design requirements for actuation subsystems
  • Provide fault tree analysis and common cause analysis as required for subsystem safety assessment
  • Prepare reliability predictions, FMEAs, and safety analysis documents that provide detailed and comprehensive assessments of new subsystem designs
  • Provide maintainability assessment and MTTR (Mean time to repair) predictions
  • Support on-site customer activities, with occasional travel as needed for customer meetings and design reviews

The RMS Engineer provides expert technical advice and recommendations, leads internal and customer design reviews, and proposes methodology for problem-solving and analysis on complex design or customer issues.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree (BS) (or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate) in engineering or a science technical discipline; Master degree (MS) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10-12 years of related experience
  • Comprehensive, advanced knowledge of product or domain engineering theories (e.g., mechanical, electronic, packaging, etc.), principles, industry practices, concepts, techniques, government regulations, and policies
  • Demonstrated ability to research, develop, and integrate new technologies
  • Ability to communicate and influence varied audiences to gain support or resolve issues

The RMS Engineer must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
