**Job Summary:**
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for processing requests to purchase goods and services in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Prepare bid documentation for procurement of materials and services
* Post bids on public bidding sites
* Review, analyze, and tabulate bids received and forward them to the initiating department for recommendation as to award
* Prepare appropriate approval documentation for award
* Ensure that purchase orders and contract files are properly documented and complete
* Provide administrative support for the Inventory Purchasing team
* Work with suppliers to expedite orders and update excel tracking files
* Perform other duties and projects as assigned, including occasional Mail Room coverage
**Requirements:**
* Strong understanding of procurement policies and procedures
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
