Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist at JobRialto is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques. This role includes patient care, radiopharmaceutical handling, quality control, and imaging procedure performance.

The specialist must ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality imaging while working closely with physicians, other healthcare providers, and the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate gamma cameras, SPECT, PET, MRI, and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents, including procurement, quality control, and safe handling.
  • Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, including handling radiopharmaceuticals and non-radioactive chemicals for clinical analysis.
  • Conduct in-vivo diagnostic testing and administer radiopharmaceuticals through oral, inhalation, or intravenous routes.
  • Manage patient preparations, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Participate in clinical research by applying NIH Human Subjects Protection in Research Certification training.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations on radiation safety.
  • Train and mentor student technologists on protocols and IV placements.
  • Collaborate with physicians to adjust procedures based on patient needs and imaging results.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and billing processes for completed procedures.

Additional Requirements:

  • Participation in patient-focused customer service, adhering to hospital infection control, safety procedures, and behavioral standards.
  • Perform on-call duties as needed, including weekends and holidays.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Maintain all required licenses, registrations, and certifications (ARRT N, NMTCB, or CT).
