We are currently seeking candidates for a
Manufacturing Roll Operator position at H.C. Starck Solutions.

The selected individual will be responsible for rolling materials to specified breakdown and finish gauges in accordance with established protocols to meet client specifications.


This position operates on a night shift, with hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; the schedule alternates between three days one week and four days the next.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Rolling materials as per the assigned work order and processing guidelines set forth by Process Engineering.
Processing tasks may involve achieving specific thickness, width, and/or length tolerances, as well as flattening, shearing, and annealing.

Developing a rolling pass schedule as necessary.
Providing feedback to Quality Control regarding incoming ingots when required.

Documenting and organizing all relevant data (such as material identification, finished dimensions, width, length, weight, and surface conditions) in the mill log book.

Entering this information into software systems to maintain accurate material records for both company and client specifications.

Conducting inspections, lubrication, and executing start-up and shut-down procedures.

Performing visual inspections of each ingot or sheet to ensure compliance with company standards.

Evaluating all work for quality against the standards established by the company. If materials do not meet these standards, notifying the supervisor and/or Quality Control department.

Ensuring consistent product quality through established ISO procedures, methods, and techniques; understanding the impact of process variables on the final product.


Qualifications:

Two to four years of prior experience in manufacturing

A high school diploma or equivalent is required

Basic mathematical skills (including decimals and percentages) are necessary for job functions

Familiarity with basic measuring tools (micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators) and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions

Capability to operate forklifts, suction and mechanical lifts, air tools, etc., is essential for processing materials

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
