Engineering Technician

Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team in Scarborough, ME. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing economical industrial processes to clean the huge range of products on which cutting-edge manufacturing depends.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain process documents, drawings, and other related materials.
- Maintain, evaluate, and assist in the design of production tooling (fixtures, baskets, etc.) required for efficient and effective part processing.
- Monitor the effectiveness of production processes and support problem resolution.
- Monitor process materials (chemicals, powders, gases, blast media, etc.) and recommend changes as necessary.
- Monitor process parameters (pressures, temperatures, concentration, contamination, etc.) and use established databases to maintain logs, generate reports, and charts.
- Maintain existing standard operating procedures and recommend revisions to improve productivity, effectiveness, and safety.
- Execute designed experiments and work instructions to gather data for process changes and customer evaluations.
- Assist in the development of training material and support on-the-job training (OJT).
- Participate in CAPA resolution, defect and failure analysis, costs and time studies, internal and external audits, and preventative actions.
- Participate in projects as assigned to improve systems, operations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Follow all EH&S standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Alert Supervisor of EH&S concerns to ensure unsafe conditions are documented and corrected.
- Act to ensure the facility is presentable to customers and other visitors.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years related experience in parts cleaning and coating technology, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing support or related industry.
This position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp. The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. is also required. The position may involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc. Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
