Healthcare Assistant Educator | As a vital member of the educational team, you will facilitate the Medical Assistant program, guiding students through the established curriculum standards and objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement tailored lesson plans across various subjects, utilizing diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning preferences.

Plan educational activities to meet specific goals based on student requirements and the defined curriculum.
Engage in student recruitment, enrollment, and placement initiatives.
Assess and provide feedback on students' assignments and projects within a timely manner of 72 hours.

Address academic or behavioral concerns with students promptly and communicate with the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator as necessary.

Maintain regular office hours for student advisement and support.
Oversee students during their externship experiences.
Continuously review and recommend updates to course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and handouts through the established processes.
Participate in faculty meetings, advisory board discussions, professional development workshops, graduations, and other relevant events.
Complete necessary documentation for student records, attendance, incident reports, and early alerts.
Organize guest lectures, community service activities, and visits to healthcare facilities.
May assist in supervising students during their externship placements.
Uphold safety and security protocols for students, staff, and visitors.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.

None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or equivalent training from a recognized institution (e.g., hospital-based program) in Medical Assisting, or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience for instructors without an accredited program background.

A minimum of three (3) years of full-time practical experience as a Medical Assistant.

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video conferencing tools, and online applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in classroom instruction.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a current, unencumbered registration or certification from a nationally recognized and accredited certifying agency (CMA or RMA).

If applicable, must hold a current license, certification, or credential as mandated by local, state, and federal regulations to practice in the field.
