Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse/RN to join our team at South Peninsula Hospital. As a key member of our Long Term Care department, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor residents for adverse reactions
  • Supervise and coordinate care provided by assigned staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment
Requirements
  • Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
  • Minimum of one year experience in Gerontology, preferably in a Long Term Care facility
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with ability to complete computer documentation
  • Ability to lift large loads and work in a fast-paced environment
