Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Practical Nurse - Licensed 1 to join our team at the State of Louisiana. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in stable conditions and predictable situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement nursing care plans, including comfort, hygiene, safety measures, nutrition, and other essential aspects of patient care.
  • Observe patients for changes in physical and/or mental status or behavior and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medication and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Transcribe physicians' orders and record medication and patient's condition on patient charts and other records.
  • Assist physicians with routine examinations and treatments.
  • Perform individual and group health teaching as assigned.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to patients in stable conditions and predictable situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
