Job Title: Client Services Public Benefits Enroller

At Center For Family Life, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Services Public Benefits Enroller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and a keen understanding of public benefits programs.

Job Summary

The Client Services Public Benefits Enroller will be responsible for coordinating access to resources that help clients secure access to public benefits. This includes assessing client eligibility, providing screening and information, and assisting with the enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client eligibility for public benefits through financial intake and screening
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to connect individuals to public benefit programs
  • Recruit and obtain referrals of eligible clients for benefits enrollment services
  • Utilize external and internal databases to effectively manage client information
  • Represent the agency's mission and programs in various public settings
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to privacy laws
  • Track program goals and ensure their achievement
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent professional and community experience
  • Experience working in a non-profit or community setting preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of public assistance programs and enrollment processes
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent customer service, relationship, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and dependable
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish required
Working Conditions

The Client Services Public Benefits Enroller will work primarily in an office setting, with considerable time spent at a desk using a computer. Some travel throughout Brooklyn, New York may be required to meet with clients. A flexible schedule for occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.

This is a full-time position at 35 hours per week, with a salary range of $42,500 - $45,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as the opportunity to participate in additional voluntary life, disability, and 403B retirement plans. Up to four weeks paid vacation are also included.
