Role Summary
MercyFirst seeks an experienced and empathetic Family Reunification Coordinator to provide critical support to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) and their families. This dynamic individual will be responsible for facilitating smooth transitions and ensuring the well-being of these vulnerable populations.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinate with ORR and other relevant stakeholders to monitor UAC cases and address any emerging concerns.
  • Assess and document UAC needs, developing ISPs that address specific challenges and promote successful reunification.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including CW supervisors and lead caseworkers, to ensure collaborative case management and best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication among UACs, their families, and relevant government agencies to facilitate seamless transitions and reunifications.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children, youth, and families, preferably with new immigrant populations.
  • Fluency in Spanish required.
  • Valid driver's license essential.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with diverse populations, particularly those from underserved communities.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per year plus $1,000 hiring incentive after 500 hours worked.
