Surgical Technologist II

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team in Cudahy, Wisconsin.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Technologist II to provide exceptional patient care and support in the operating room. The successful candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain a clean and safe operating room environment, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Utilize aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and maintaining a sterile field.
- Perform various patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Surgical Technologist position.

The Surgical Technologist II will work in a fast-paced operating room environment, exposed to various hazards, including mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, blood, and body fluids. The successful candidate must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently during the work shift.
