About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques and protocols.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to changing situations during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with expertise in aseptic surgical techniques and surgical specialties.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with the ability to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
