The University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management. This role will provide strategic direction, planning, and vision for the development, implementation, and evolution of the Enterprise Risk Management process.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the university.
- Provide counsel to leadership on ERM programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Monitor and report on risk management activities and progress.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
- Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, strategic university risks, or enterprise risk management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences at every level of the university.
- Highly effective team-building and team management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Strong analytical abilities and project management skills.
- JD, MBA, or advanced degree in risk management, higher education leadership, public sector leadership, public administration, finance, information technology, or related field from an accredited college/university.
- Applicable professional certification such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
- Experience working in a university setting and managing a program or staff.
The University of Maryland, College Park, offers a competitive salary range of $156,000 – $195,000, a comprehensive benefits package, and a dynamic work environment.
