Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify respiratory problems and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal respiratory health.
Requirements
  • Completion of a vocational/technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate's degree); Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current Florida State License (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist.
  • American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
