Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Completion of an accredited respiratory care program (Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred).
- Current Florida State License as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) to be obtained within six months of employment.
- Physical demands include frequent standing, bending, and moving equipment.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Operating and managing acute care ventilators for both short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Demonstrating self-direction in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
- Maintaining accurate departmental and hospital records, ensuring data integrity in the hospital system.
- Administering routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures across all age groups.
- No travel is required for this position.
