About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Operations Coordinator to join our team at Georgia Tech. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading building services for assigned areas, including general maintenance, safety, emergency preparedness, custodial, space planning, construction, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for building issues, including general maintenance, safety, emergency preparedness, custodial, space planning, construction, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Perform routine rounds to address safety, maintenance, and other building issues.
  • Lead, perform, or coordinate general maintenance repairs/assembly.
  • Provide coordination to vendors in performance of preventive and reactive maintenance to technical building systems, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
  • Four to six years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Experience in maintenance field.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This job requires working knowledge of building operation and maintenance services and related areas of building operation, including emergency preparedness and safety. Skills in work leadership, customer service, communications, and use of office-related computer applications are required.
