Position Overview: District Partners is looking for a dedicated Healthcare Policy Project Manager to oversee project execution and deliver technical expertise for a government healthcare initiative. This role requires leadership over a small team and the management of a contract that facilitates strategic communication and project oversight across various offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Project Manager responsible for coordinating, directing, and managing all facets of work performance, often involving intricate and interconnected project tasks and the supervision of contractor personnel across multiple locations.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on program activities and ensure the successful completion of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain and manage contractor interactions with senior stakeholders within the client's organization.
  • Engage with government officials, project team members, and subject matter experts to develop and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring compliance with program and project timelines, budgets, and contractual commitments.
  • Establish and uphold schedules, metrics, and financial reports to demonstrate project progress and effectiveness to clients.
  • Organize and delegate responsibilities to contract staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience.
  • A Master's degree in a related discipline is required.
  • Experience in supporting complex projects within the federal government.
  • Familiarity with health policy and experience working with federal, state, or local health agencies, hospitals, healthcare systems, or health research organizations.
  • Proven experience in leading extensive education, awareness, and implementation initiatives for the federal sector.
  • Experience in conducting research, drafting scenario-based white papers, collaborating with senior healthcare leaders, monitoring and interpreting policy, and leading a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • A proactive self-starter with a commitment to completing all types of work with high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills across various mediums and settings, with superior consulting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in public health, strategic communications and planning, media strategies, change management, policy, risk management, performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
