Job Summary

As a Senior Laboratory Scientist at Sentara, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing and interpreting test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes. You will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing daily technical operations, including staff training and education, implementation of instrumentation, and accreditation readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing and interpret test results
  • Develop, maintain, and manage daily technical operations
  • Train and educate laboratory staff
  • Implement instrumentation and ensure accreditation readiness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
  • ASCP or AMT certification
  • 3 years of laboratory experience
