Overview

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers is seeking a skilled MRI Tech PRN to join our team. As a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures utilizing MRI and imaging equipment. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting MRI procedures and ensuring quality control in the MRI area.
  • Utilizing RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, and proper completion of exams).
  • Operating other equipment used in MR, including monitoring equipment and stereotactic biopsy equipment (where applicable).
  • Demonstrating enthusiasm and a willingness to accept work assignments.
  • Assessing situations, considering alternatives, and choosing an appropriate course of action.
  • Providing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Graduate of a Radiology School.
  • Previous experience in an out-patient MRI role is desirable.

One of the following certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date:

  • American Registration of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (MR) certification.
  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification.
