Job Summary

The Vascular Technologist plays a crucial role in the diagnostic process, performing arterial/venous Dopplers and vascular imaging as directed by physician order. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, physics, and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including arterial/venous Dopplers and vascular imaging
  • Utilize and maintain a background in anatomy, physiology, physics, and instrumentation
  • Maintain department supplies and equipment, and participate in quality control initiatives
  • Provide technical information to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment
Requirements
  • Successful completion of training program in ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or vascular technology
  • Associates of Science or higher degree
  • None
  • Preferred: Two (2) years vascular technologist experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging clinic
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification in RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist or RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist
