Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at Houston Methodist Primary Care Group. As a Senior Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support to patients and healthcare teams, including conducting medical histories, performing vital signs, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care, including coordinating appointments, communicating with patients, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting.
  • Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
