Senior Medical Assistant Palliative Care Specialist

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families, under the direct supervision of a Physician and/or Registered Nurse.
- Assist with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatment, and dressing changes.
- Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling patient appointments, ensuring medical necessity compliance, and verifying eligibility for care.
- Independently and expertly perform the duties and responsibilities of a preceptor and clinical resource to Medical Assistants, training and orienting others as appropriate.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
- RMA - Registered Medical Assistant (AMT) or equivalent certification.
- CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification.
