The primary role of the COMSEC Security Manager is to engage within Special Access Programs (SAPs) in support of Department of Defense (DoD) entities. This includes collaboration with various defense sectors, ensuring robust security measures for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) operations. A thorough understanding of COMSEC protocols and procedures, encompassing the acquisition, maintenance, operation, and disposal of COMSEC assets, is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inventories and inspections while overseeing secure equipment and classified keying materials.
- Facilitate the installation of secure communication devices and manage the distribution of encryption tools and keying materials.
- Oversee a Top Secret inventory and document management system.
- Transport classified materials and ensure adherence to Air Force COMSEC regulations.
- Guarantee appropriate physical security accreditation for supported facilities.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance to team members.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Special Access Programs is mandatory.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- Must be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.
Travel Expectations:
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time is required.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform moderate lifting on a regular basis.
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $90,950 and $123,050, contingent upon experience, geographic location, and contractual stipulations.
