Job Summary

Flagship Ventures is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of IT Operations to join our team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing, building, and running highly available, resilient, and secured systems and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and service management. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT operations strategy
  • Design, build, and run highly available and secured IT infrastructure, network, and applications
  • Provide end-user support, including hardware provisioning, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Implement and manage IT service management processes, including incident, change, problem, and asset management
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure the quality of service
  • Partner with R&D, business functions, and security teams to define, document, and enforce IT and security policies and best practices
  • Continuously monitor IT infrastructure and services for misconfigurations, security threats, and vulnerabilities, and implement proactive measures and continuous improvements
  • Define, measure, and report on performance against SLAs and KPIs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Extensive experience managing cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS
  • Passionate about emerging cutting-edge technologies and able to quickly implement them to solve business problems
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, network, identity and access management, and service management
  • Experience managing highly regulated environments, such as scientific laboratories
  • Certifications such as ITIL and AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus
