Job Overview

Position Summary:

Book of the Month is seeking a dedicated and career-focused People, Talent & Recruiting Coordinator. In this position, you will gain valuable experience in talent acquisition, interviewing, people operations, employee engagement, talent development, and various administrative tasks. By collaborating closely with the People, Talent & Recruiting team and other departments, you will play a key role in attracting, onboarding, and retaining top talent. Additionally, you will provide essential administrative support to the President & COO and the SVP of People, enhancing your skills in a strategic recruiting environment while gaining insights into the operations of an e-commerce, DTC business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to streamline the hiring process. Responsibilities include scheduling interviews, maintaining job postings, proactively sourcing candidates, managing the candidate experience, and learning effective interviewing techniques.
  • Administrative Support and Special Projects: Offer administrative and calendar management assistance to the President & COO and SVP of People. This includes creating meeting agendas, gathering necessary information, and ensuring efficient execution of key meetings.
  • People Operations: Assist in the administration of onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre-employment tasks and IT coordination.
  • Employee Experience: Over time, contribute to various People programs, including benefits, recognition, and team culture initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a recruiting, HR, or people-focused role, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
  • Preferred experience in a recruiting function, with a desire to develop a comprehensive HR skill set.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Professional demeanor and good judgment, fostering respect and trust.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to represent the company positively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, consistently meeting deadlines.
  • High flexibility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative to address challenges.

Salary Range: $62,400 - $75,000
