About the Role:
Siemen's Digital Industries division is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Solutions Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions, presentations, and messaging to support the prescriptive process of the buyer's journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to gather business and technical requirements, determine business needs, and architect appropriate solutions within the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of customer business needs, engineering and manufacturing processes, industry best practices, and competitive differentiation to lead pursuit teams that will prepare and deliver compelling customer experiences in support of selling efforts.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of customer and industry configuration management processes and strategies.
- Establish and build a trusted advisor and credible business and technical consultant relationship with clients and sales executives.
- Oversee and guide the client in the selection of appropriate solutions and suites of technology.
- Lead the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, proposals, and business and technology status reviews.
- Lead the construction of meaningful collateral for client requests for information (RFI), proposals (RFP, RFQ, etc.), demonstrations, and proof of concept exercises.
- Support account orchestrators and pre-sales resources in defining and executing on sales opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
- Excellent verbal group presentation and written communication skills.
- Must currently reside in the United States. Strong preference for the Detroit area.
- Excellent organizational skills that positively influence teams with a common understanding of successful account management principles.
- 5+ years of expertise in manufacturing, process management, manufacturing bill of materials, line design, MES.
- 7+ years of experience in the PLM space, which includes managing proof of concepts, defining the requirements and scope of PLM solutions deployment, as well as being part of the selection process.
- BS/BA (or relevant technical degree) in a related engineering, manufacturing, or computer science-related discipline.
- Self-starter, motivated, and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
- Experience leading and managing teams of technical and business consultants from within, and outside of their formal organization.
- Must be able to work remotely (virtual office).
- Must be open to an average of 30% - 50% travel, mostly domestic.
Preferred Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Active Workspace, Tc Manufacturing solutions, Easy plan, Battery Manufacturing, Process Simulate, Line Designer.
- 7+ years of experience in the Auto Industry.
- 5+ years of Siemens Xcelerator PLM Domain Experience.
- Experience as a Technical Consultant or Sales within the Digital Enterprise space.
- Proven success and experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering role.
- Proven record of ability to present technology solutions in front of groups while incorporating specific selling techniques.
