Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a CRNA, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to our perioperative and surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other members of the peri-operative healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Deliver comprehensive care to surgical patients across the lifespan, utilizing your expertise in anesthesia principles, pharmacology, and patient assessment.
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding care and cultivate an environment that centers on the needs of patients and their families.
  • Work in fast-paced and unpredictable environments, requiring adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing patient needs, emergencies, and evolving clinical situations.
Requirements
  • Current New York State (NYS) RN license/registration.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia training program and certification.
  • Strong foundation in anesthesia principles, pharmacology, and patient assessment to provide safe and effective anesthesia care.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills to assess complex situations, analyze data, and make quick, informed decisions to ensure patient safety during anesthesia administration.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
