Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician III to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Support: Provide assistance to anesthesia clinicians during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, as well as with the placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and run Quality Control and Quality Assurance analysis on anesthesia machines, and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Supply Management: Check machine drawers to ensure they are well-stocked, and make available fluids, gases, and other essential supplies.
  • Training and Development: Assist with the training of Anesthesia Technicians and apprise supervisors of their performance.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure workroom areas are clean and orderly before, during, and after each shift.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of a one-year Anesthesia Technician program or certification from an anesthesia technology program with 5 years of experience.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification required.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and follow instructions; basic computer skills; and ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and experience in staff development and training.
