Job Summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a dynamic and accomplished individual to join its faculty as a Tenure Track Professor in Chemical Engineering. As part of the College of Engineering and Computing's expansion plans, the Department of Chemical Engineering is looking for talented professionals to contribute to its growth and success.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and sustain an internationally recognized research program, demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, and contribute to the department's academic and research endeavors.

Research Areas of Interest

The department is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas: new chemistries and active materials, solid-state electrolytes, continuum-scale modeling and systems modeling, battery safety and reliability, and novel approaches to recycling. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong research program that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or a related field by the time of appointment. A strong record of research and teaching experience, as well as a demonstrated ability to secure external funding, are highly desirable.
