As a Staff Engineer at Amentum, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of how radiation impacts microelectronic components. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the resilience of electronic systems in extreme environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct electronic and non-electronic characterization measurements on semiconductor materials and devices.

• Perform total ionizing dose measurements on devices and specialized test structures, designing and fabricating them as necessary.

• Collaborate with vendors on semiconductor fabrication processes and procedures, supporting electronic materials processing as needed.

• Design and implement laboratory set-ups for performing experiments.

• Document and report findings in the form of test reports and presentations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field (chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, etc.) with sufficient experience.

• Foundational understanding of semiconductor physics.

• Experience with semiconductor device characterization and associated measurement techniques.

• Experience in fabricating and processing electronic materials and test structures.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work within a team environment.

This position is open to U.S. citizens, and occasional travel may be required.
