Job Title: Engineering Manager

At Cover Care, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the product development process, managing the supplier base, and working with the Impact Team to achieve strategic planning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the product development process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.
  • Manage and qualify the supplier base to achieve the highest level of quality for incoming material.
  • Work with the Impact Team to provide input, ideas, and direction for meeting short- and long-term strategic planning and implementation goals.
  • Research, plan, negotiate, and approve capital equipment expenditures.
  • Manage and coordinate manufacturing software changes.
  • Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Manage and coordinate contracted manufacturing and engineering resources.
  • Oversee the product certification process to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate technical information to the Dealer Support Department on product implementations and product specifications.
  • Authorize expenditures for materials needed for the manufacturing and engineering staff.
  • Manage a corrective and preventive action program.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes and policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years' management experience in an manufacturing and engineering environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Solidworks experience.
  • PDM and/or PLM knowledge.
  • Ability to use engineering design and measurement tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to show initiative and put forward ideas to consistently improve products, quality, and processes.
  • Advanced mathematical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop others and work as part of a team.
