Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen.
- Learn and master our menu, including preparation and presentation techniques.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served at the correct temperature.
- Control costs by accurately preparing each item.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station.
- Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the needs of the shift.
- Follow directions and communicate effectively with management and peers.
- Complete opening and closing duties each shift, setting up and tearing down the kitchen to ensure a smooth operation.
- Follow all policies and procedures communicated by management or the company.
- Provide accurate availability and have consistent attendance.
- Adhere to all company and government health and safety standards, including human safety, food safety, and chemical safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and management.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to memorize, prepare, and present all menu items to specification.
- Ability to safely utilize knives and equipment.
- Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary training or education.
- Knowledge of restaurant preparation and cooking methods.
- Food safety certification, where required by law.
- 3-6 months of related experience or training.
Physical Requirements
Team members must be able to perform the duties of the location, which may include lifting up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds as required, lifting from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently, twisting and reaching frequently, grasping objects to move or manipulate constantly, working in alternatively hot or cold environments for extended periods of time, and standing and walking for extended periods of time. Frequent hand washing and sanitation is required. Ability to use knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation equipment. Team members must be able to communicate with guests and other team members and manipulate handheld and desktop devices.
