The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships reports directly to the Vice President of Amergis and collaborates with the VP of Strategic Sales, VP of Finance and Operations, Regional Vice Presidents (RVP), Finance teams, fellow Directors, and other essential stakeholders to shape the overall corporate growth strategy.
Collaboration with divisional, local, area, and regional leadership teams is crucial for identifying potential clients in need of workforce solutions.
ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is tasked with ensuring that the highest quality and competitive service offerings are delivered to clients while working alongside delivery and operations teams to guarantee superior outcomes.
This role also involves providing insights into industry trends and best practices, along with ongoing guidance on business development platforms, processes, and roles to foster continuous improvement in new business initiatives.
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Amergis Healthcare Staffing, VP of Strategic Sales, Area and Regional Vice Presidents, and Market Leaders to act as a thought leader in developing company strategy and training methodologies by identifying opportunities, setting priorities, and crafting new business strategies.
- Work closely with all team members within Amergis Healthcare Staffing to support and contribute to the division's priorities, mission, vision, and core values aimed at enhancing growth within the organization's workforce solution portfolio.
- Manage an active portfolio of business development targets and execute strategies for business growth through effective customer management and fulfillment.
- Directly develop and implement the business development strategy to attract new clients to the Amergis Healthcare Staffing portfolio.
- Identify potential business opportunities by engaging with prospective partners and exploring new avenues.
- Evaluate potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financial implications; resolving internal priorities and recommending equity investments.
- Formulate negotiation strategies and positions by assessing the integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; analyzing risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and objectives.
- Finalize new business agreements by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and aligning contract requirements with business operations.
- Maintain regular communication with local, area, and regional leadership regarding current market trends and opportunities.
- Travel frequently to engage with current and prospective clients.
- Adhere to multiple federal, state, program/contract, and accrediting body requirements.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in business development and industry management is preferred.
- Must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with experience in training and facilitation preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stress and maintain composure under pressure and tight deadlines. A good sense of humor and a positive outlook are advantageous.
- Proven experience in working with a mature business development process and scaling it across various organizational levels and key stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex teams, precise scheduling, and shifting priorities.
- Proficient in closing skills, motivation for business development, prospecting, planning, customer needs assessment, territory management, market knowledge, presentation skills, energy level, and professionalism.
