Medical Support Professional

As a Medical Assistant at LifePoint Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Under the supervision of a provider, you will assist with patient assessments and treatments, perform basic diagnostic procedures, and monitor patient condition. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an asset to our team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider
Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition
Document patient care given
Maintain examination areas and equipment
Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Previous medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Certified Medical Assistant preferred
