We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments and treatments
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition
- Document patient care given
- Maintain examination areas and equipment
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Previous medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
