This team drives this mission through effective application outreach, family engagement, and ongoing support. The Director of Student Recruitment plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategic initiatives aimed at attracting prospective students and their families to our educational institution. This position collaborates closely with the Enrollment, Marketing, and School Operations teams, as well as school leadership. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a wealth of experience in recruitment, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the K-12 educational sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Development
- Design and implement a holistic recruitment strategy that aligns with the institution's mission, vision, and enrollment objectives.
- Assess regional recruitment plans to evaluate application acquisition strategies and their effectiveness.
- Organize and oversee recruitment events, such as school fairs, open houses, informational sessions, and community outreach programs.
- Foster and maintain partnerships with feeder schools, community organizations, and educational collaborators to broaden recruitment networks.
- Enhance community awareness through grassroots outreach efforts, including neighborhood canvassing.
- Ensure the recruitment team is equipped with necessary materials, promotional items, and resources for effective field engagement.
- Build a strong, diverse team that promotes an inclusive culture, leveraging each member's strengths.
- Guide and mentor team members towards excellence in their roles while focusing on their long-term professional growth.
- Provide real-time feedback to managers and recruiters in the field to enhance performance.
- Establish a regular framework for collaboration, training, and support within the team.
- Monitor team performance to ensure operational excellence is achieved.
- Set metrics and key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of student acquisition and experience.
- Utilize data analytics tools to assess the impact of recruitment initiatives.
- Compile regular reports on enrollment trends, persistence, and projections for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and deliver timely results.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with the capability to transition from immediate problem-solving to long-term systems development.
- Proven experience in implementing process enhancements and achieving operational excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in enrollment management or admissions leadership within an educational context, preferably in public charter schools.
- This role involves considerable time spent at a desk using a computer.
- Attendance at conferences or training sessions may be required.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Willingness to travel to various locations, with travel time estimated at approximately 15%.
