Work Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Overview:
As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will prepare patients for their appointments by executing the Advanced Standard room process. This includes:
- Documenting the chief complaint.
- Measuring patient vital signs.
- Reviewing medical history and allergies.
- Conducting thorough medication reconciliations.
- Utilizing the Encounter Guide to address any open care gaps, such as screenings for fall risk, depression, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and diabetic eye exams.
- Reassessing elevated blood pressures and completing necessary documentation in the electronic health record system for annual preventative visits.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with in-office testing, including but not limited to:
- Blood draws
- Mental status evaluations
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Walking oxygen studies
- Point of care testing.
- Administer vaccines and other injections within the scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as per office protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the delivery of care plans.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.

Certification:
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care setting.

Certification Requirements:
- Active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) is required.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
