New York, New York, United States The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School Full time
Position Overview

About the Role

We are seeking qualified candidates for Early Childhood Social Work positions (Kindergarten, 1st Grade) and Elementary School Social Work roles (2nd Grade to 4th Grade).

At The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School, Social Workers play a pivotal role in leading mental health initiatives for students and their families. They are responsible for designing and executing proactive and preventative social work programs that foster emotional and social well-being, while also addressing daily student challenges and unexpected crises. Each Social Worker is dedicated to a specific cohort, providing consistent support as students progress through their educational journey.

In this capacity, you will be the dedicated Social Worker for a TEP cohort, accompanying them through their academic years until they complete 4th grade. This role is ideal for a seasoned and innovative social work professional who excels in independent settings, is committed to social justice, and is eager to build enduring relationships with students and families as they navigate their developmental stages.

Early Childhood Social Workers will engage in vibrant environments that reflect the dynamic learning experiences of Kindergarten and 1st grade. They will assist students in cultivating essential emotional and social skills within classrooms, as well as in dedicated social work office spaces.

Elementary School Social Workers will operate in a thoughtfully designed educational atmosphere that inspires a love for learning among 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders, complemented by private and collaborative social work office spaces. Our unique educational setting provides an ideal backdrop for young learners, enhanced by the natural surroundings that encourage exploration.

"I believe this is where I have the greatest impact within the Social Work profession. I can do the work that is going to last; I can connect with people, very young, and see the fruits of the work last for years and years." - TEP Social Worker
