Advanced Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner

This position is situated within a busy Level 2 trauma center, where the selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting admissions and discharges
  • Performing primary and secondary trauma assessments
  • Managing pre-operative and post-operative patients
  • Overseeing trauma and general surgery floor patients
  • Executing routine floor procedures
  • Providing surgical consults in the emergency department

The role offers an autonomous yet collaborative work environment. As the department expands, there will be opportunities for the Advanced Practice Providers to take on first assisting responsibilities.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of one year of experience in General or Trauma Surgery as an Advanced Practice Provider.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $110,000 to $150,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

This position promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Work Schedule:

  • 4 shifts of 10 hours each (Rotating schedule with 7-day coverage)
  • On-call responsibilities to be determined when trauma services operate 24/7
  • 32-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Cerner Plus Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Over 80,000 emergency room visits annually
