Position: Building Performance Field Tech

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive on-site evaluations of residential properties to determine eligibility for energy efficiency tax credits.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and interpret findings to suggest improvements in energy efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to ENERGY STAR certification standards and relevant regulations.
  • Create thorough reports and documentation to support tax credit qualifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of energy codes and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to execute testing for larger scale projects.
  • Oversee multiple assignments concurrently while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in HERS Rating.
  • Knowledge of ENERGY STAR residential initiatives and 45L tax credit guidelines.
  • Certified HERS Rater with RESNET accreditation.
  • Skilled in utilizing diagnostic equipment such as blower doors and thermal imaging devices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in diverse environments, including attics, rooftops, and outdoor settings.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for projects beyond local areas.
