Grid Energy Storage Technician

We are seeking dedicated individuals to work at remote energy generation sites (Solar/Wind) where battery storage systems are being implemented. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, testing, and commissioning large-scale battery storage systems. Comprehensive training will be provided. The work primarily focuses on low voltage connections and/or computer interface and control systems.
Compensation for Battery Energy Storage Technician:
Salary: $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications for Battery Energy Storage Technician:
- OSHA - 10 certification is advantageous.
- Experience with electrical systems and controls is beneficial.
- Familiarity with various multimeter models is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions, learn, and develop within the role.
- Commitment to all safety protocols, including the use of a 40 cal arc flash suit when necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management; punctuality is essential.
- Clean background with no pending legal issues.
- Must pass a drug and alcohol screening upon hire and randomly thereafter.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Non-US Citizens must possess a valid work visa or green card.
Our company, Sonic Systems, specializes in maintenance and repair services for the power generation sector. We focus on delivering service and repair primarily in the field at client locations (Wind and Solar farms). Our field technicians receive training and must maintain certification for safely handling stored energy (large grid-scale batteries).
Due to significant growth and future opportunities, we are looking for detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated individuals to support various customer contracts, all of which are field-based with varying durations.
