Overview: The Rehabilitative Care Specialist delivers therapeutic services to individuals across various age groups, including youth, adults, and seniors. This role involves assessing the rehabilitation requirements of patients, formulating objectives and treatment strategies in collaboration with patients and their families, executing the treatment protocols, and providing educational support to patients, families, and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist from the relevant state regulatory body. Reliable transportation is necessary for off-site patient services. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of physical therapy principles, patient evaluation, and treatment methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills, demonstrating sensitivity to the diverse needs of patients.
  • Ability to educate patients and their families effectively.

Work Environment: This position may require physical activities such as lifting and carrying weights up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling loads up to 100 lbs, and involves frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity, along with manual dexterity, is essential for this role.
