Job Title: Model Risk Governance Specialist

Associated Banc-Corp is seeking a highly skilled Model Risk Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Risk Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's Model Risk Management practices are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of Model Risk Management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Model Owners and Model Developers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and monitoring to identify potential model risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain departmental risk management systems and tools to support Model Risk Management activities.
  • Manage ongoing model inventory and gather performance metrics to inform risk management decisions.
  • Onboard new models and retire decommissioned models, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Administration, Finance, Applied Economics, or Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on risk management programs and practices.
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise or operational risk, related control frameworks and practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products and services.
