Research Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Laboratory Manager to join our team at Emory University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our research laboratory, ensuring that all experiments are conducted safely and efficiently, and that our research meets the highest standards of quality and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of research staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of research projects.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee the development and implementation of research protocols, ensuring that all experiments are conducted in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with other researchers and departments to ensure that research is aligned with the goals and objectives of the university.
- Develop and manage budgets for research projects, ensuring that all expenses are properly accounted for and that resources are allocated efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, with a master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a research laboratory setting, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of researchers and staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
