Beverage Service Specialist

This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service during various events, ensuring customer satisfaction and precise management of all transactions, including inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizes and manages individual beverage stations
  • Adheres to all alcohol regulations
  • Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of the work area
  • Implements safety protocols in the workplace
  • Delivers friendly and efficient service to patrons
  • Reports to Food and Beverage Supervisors in designated attire
  • Prepares all drink offerings for sale at the stations
  • Processes sales to customers, charging the amounts specified on the price list
  • Handles cash and/or tickets accurately
  • Conducts thorough verification of cash and liquor inventory with a supervisor
  • Ensures cash register is configured correctly, following approved sales procedures
  • Complies with Bar Procedures and regulations pertinent to beverage operations and the Food and Beverage Division
  • Requests identification from every guest purchasing alcoholic beverages
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bar operations
  • Must possess a friendly demeanor and maintain a professional appearance
  • TIPS or LEAD Certification is required
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to follow directions and effectively execute tasks
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate cash handling
  • Basic knowledge of cash register operations and cash management
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Proficient in English to understand safety protocols and communicate with customers and staff
  • Exhibits a positive, customer-focused attitude
  • Thorough understanding of sanitary practices
  • Maintains appropriate grooming and dress standards
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic with urgency and quality in a team setting
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues effectively
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail is essential
Additional Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to navigate the facility and stand for extended periods during events. This role may involve working indoors or outdoors, depending on event requirements. It also necessitates bending and lifting, with the ability to carry and lift up to 25 lbs. to waist height.
