POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Beverage Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the training and management of all bartending staff across various departments, including Arena and Catering, as well as Suite Attendants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive training programs for bartenders and suite staff.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking of all beverage-related products.
  • Ensure adequate stock and staffing levels for all mobile and permanent bar setups.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to bartender training.
  • Accurately track and report bar revenue.
  • Adhere to all liquor laws and health department regulations.
  • Oversee daily sales reporting, accounts receivable, and cash management during events.
  • Provide effective supervision and organization of bartending and suite staff.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance client experiences during events.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures by self and staff.
  • Engage directly with clients, providing hands-on service during events.
  • Assist food and beverage management in various operational areas as needed.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

Supervises all hourly bartenders and suite attendants, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to remain active, standing or walking, for extended periods.

Work is conducted throughout various venues, including both indoor and outdoor settings.

Flexibility to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience and at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a similar role, encompassing inventory management, cost control, and product ordering.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Proficient in basic math for accurate cash handling.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Appetize POS software is advantageous.
  • Possession of valid alcohol certification as recognized in the state.
  • Attention to detail and a strong service-oriented mindset.
