Channellock is seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst to enhance our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, evaluation, and interpretation of financial reports, including bank reconciliations and General Ledger analysis, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  • Prepare documentation for year-end audits.
  • Support cost analysis and reporting to drive financial efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory management and reconcile inventory accounts.
  • Prepare and review payroll tax returns on a quarterly and annual basis, and manage responses to tax inquiries and audits.
  • Facilitate various tax payments while staying informed on tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes to guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement improvements in business practices and internal controls to uphold the integrity of financial records and compliance.
  • Initiate electronic bank transactions and approve various financial activities.
  • Conduct financial analyses necessary for insurance policy renewals.
  • Analyze monthly investment performance.
  • Prepare annual reports for Unclaimed Property and monitor check clearing processes.
  • Manage fixed asset records.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Controller or CFO.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong emphasis on tax compliance and financial accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and collaborate effectively.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll and/or accounting roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on tax accounting.
