Opportunity
We are in search of a Chief Financial Officer who will serve as the principal financial strategist for our organization. This executive role involves collaborating closely with the executive team to ensure the financial health and sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Forecasting: Develop and maintain comprehensive long-term financial forecasts, ensuring that both internal and external financial developments are monitored for accuracy.
  2. Strategic Financial Analysis: Guide department heads in conducting financial analyses to align with our strategic objectives.
  3. Program Evaluation: Establish and oversee a systematic review process for evaluating the financial performance of various programs and initiatives.
  4. Annual Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting process by identifying organizational priorities and translating them into a practical financial plan.
  5. Endowment Oversight: Work with relevant departments to manage and track the utilization of financial resources effectively.
  6. Integrated Planning: Create procedures that align business and strategic planning with the budgeting process.
  7. External Monitoring: Stay informed on external financial trends to ensure our budgeting reflects the most current information.
  8. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and investment activities to maintain optimal liquidity while adhering to investment regulations.
  9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, managing audit processes effectively.
  10. Leadership Development: Provide mentorship and coaching to various departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  11. Board Collaboration: Engage with the Board of Directors on financial matters, serving as a key member of relevant committees.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of twelve years of progressive experience in finance and operations.
  2. At least five years in a leadership role, preferably within a corporate or non-profit environment.
  3. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  4. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are advantageous.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budget management, and financial analysis.
  6. Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
